Wrecked

Elizabeth Williams has been fired from her job and evicted from her apartment. With all of her earthly possessions loaded in the back of her 16-year-old car, she drives until she needs a bathroom break. She finds herself in the sleepy coastal town of Port Lincoln, and in an instant, her life is once again turned upside down when two men vie for her attention: Dr. Ethan James, the handsome and eligible E.R. doc who saves her, not only once, but twice; and Captain Andrew Wentworth, the Navy man who ends up meaning more to her than she could ever imagine.

I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep but my brain wouldn’t let me. Story ideas and new characters were trying to be heard when Elizabeth Williams pushed her way to the front of the line. I had already been in a somber mood, so when Bess started talking to me about her miserable life, I was in the right frame of mind to listen. Ten minutes later I realized sleep was not coming anytime soon, and I got up and opened a new word document and began typing.

The next morning, I was excited to share with my son my new idea. We discussed plot possibilities and character development and over the next three months, Wrecked came to life.

While technically a paranormal, in that it is a ghost story, I think of it as a love story that spans the centuries. The Captain holds a special place in my heart and I hope that the reader will fall in love with him, too.

“I love all of AJ books. She is one of those authors I don’t even bother reading the synopsis; I just read the book. Elizabeth Williams has hit quite the rough patch. She came down with flu like symptoms that won’t go away and had to take a bunch of time off from work, which caused her to lose her job and eventually her apartment. She has packed up all her possessions in her car and begins to drive until she needs to use the restroom. She had no clue that her whole life would change with this one decision. Elizabeth finds herself in a small coastal town, Port Lincoln and in the hospital. This could be the best thing for her or just another bump of the crappy high way she has been on. She finds herself with two men suddenly interested in her, the handsome E.R. doctor Ethan James who saves her more than once and Captain Andrew Wentworth. I absolutely love how this whole story wraps up… All three of these characters intertwine for a fantastic story. I couldn’t put this book down once I started. This story is romantic, surprising, and has a bit of mystery… I highly recommend this book. I can’t say enough about it or AJ.”

“I once compared this indie authors writing to that of Nicolas Sparks. I’m doing it again. Ms Harmon’s story has me in awe of not just the storyline but of the imagination of the story teller. The emotional depth and obvious attention details within this book are what had me so engrossed from the first chapter. It is brilliantly written and you can’t help but to fall in love with Ethan as he falls in love with Bess… we also meet Andrew and learn his story and we fall in love with him as well. There is a paranormal element along with the discovery of some key things in this book just ramp up my admiration for this author.

I don’t know if it’s possible, but Ms Harmon has left me with 2 book boyfriends from one book!”

AJ did a great job with this book. She made your fall in love with the characters and made your heart break at the same time. There were moments that you were crying then happy again. True love finds each other even after a tragic loss and many years. The book grips you from the start and you will have troubles putting it down.
